WELCOME!

And so after twenty-five long years
We gathered again on this hallowed ground
a place made more joyful by our laughter
a place made more meaningful by our dreams
a place made more strong by our resolve to excel
a place made more challenging by our failures
a place made more worthy by our achievements.

We come together today to reminisce
to share memories of our separated lives
to look back at those years of struggles
when we were at the theshold of our destinies.

We come together again to see old friends
to rekindle fading embers of friendships lost
but never forgotten over the years.

We come together today to meet new friends
to put names on strangers' faces of years ago
to cherish and nurture new friendships born.

We come together today to start new episodes
to find meaning in our newfound solidarity
to journey in life not just as schoolmates
but as friends, brothers and sisters.

Many things may have changed as we moved on with our separate lives. We parted ways more than twenty five years ago when we bid goodbye to high school life, embarking on journeys to seek our own places under the sun. It is time to touch base with each other again and re-kindle the embers of the flame that kept watch over our young lives.

The year 2001 saw the rekindling of the old ties. Each encounter was a chance to renew friendships, yet at the same time presented the most welcomed opportunity to build and strengthen new relationships. It is our hope that by sustaining this renewed kinship, we may be able to reach out to more of our fellow alumni so they too may share in the joy of unity, sharing and support that we have found in each other.

It is because of this growing number of connected, and committed, alumni that our batch association was conceived and born in 2002. The alumni homecoming on December 28, 2002 further reinforced this bonding between Batch ’81 alumni when the organization was officially launched and its first set of regular officers were elected. With the structure now firmly in place, we have started in earnest the arduous task of locating and contacting the rest of our fellow alumni in preparation for our Silver Jubilee on 2006. The rest, as they say, is history.

This site welcomes all alumni of RHS Batch '81. This is our window to the world, allowing us to reach out to as many of our batchmates as we can, especially those who are out of the country and could not be physically with us. Through this site, they can be with us in thought and in spirit. We welcome all contributions to make the site content informative and enjoyable. Articles, messages, pictures, audio and video clips can be published here. Isn’t technology simply amazing?
